The evaluators came, observed our classrooms in action, spoke with students and staff, and reached their conclusion: Haut-Lac now holds accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
What this means in practice is straightforward. Our students can officially earn the US High School Diploma alongside their IB qualifications. For families considering American universities, that’s significant given it is a widely accepted entry requirement. US admissions offices know exactly what the diploma represents, and it removes potential questions about whether international qualifications translate to American standards.
NEASC has been evaluating schools since 1885. That’s nearly 140 years of understanding what quality education requires. They don’t just assess where a school stands today, they establish frameworks for continuous whole-school improvement focused on innovation, equity and student empowerment.
We now hold two international accreditations: CIS and NEASC. Each examines different aspects of how we operate, from curriculum design to student support systems. The combination provides external confirmation that our bilingual, IB-focused approach delivers what it promises.
For current and prospective families, the outcome is clear: more accredited pathways, more possibilities, and the backing of established international standards that universities worldwide respect.
