At Haut-Lac, we understand the challenge of trying to organise a busy family and want to help ease the stress.
Our experienced supervisors run the following childcare services on campus between 7:15 and 18:00. That means at breakfast time, at lunchtime and after lessons.
Wondering how to drop your kids off at school and get to work on time?
The Praz-Dagoud campus opens at 7:15 every day to welcome early risers for breakfast and supervision until 8:00.
Infant students then follow the club leader to their classrooms, whilst their primary and secondary peers head upstairs or to the Roches Grises campus for lessons.
Lunchtime is a time for socialising in the playground, discovering new tastes and refuelling with a balanced school meal or a homemade picnic lunch.
All under the complimentary supervision of experienced parent supervisors and canteen staff.
Our experienced after-school supervisors create a calm space, where children aged 3 to 11 can have fun until their parents arrive.
Whilst some join after-school activity clubs, others prefer the relaxed routine of quiet activities, homework support and free play during supervised care.
Check out our different after-school care options below.
Lessons until lunchtime on Wednesday could mean scheduling challenges for parents.
But our after-school clubs and childcare options create afternoons of discovery that simplify logistics until 18:00.
Students can:
The after-school supervision service from 17:00 to 18:00 is run by four educators (two for the 3 to 5 year olds and two for the 6 to 11 year olds).
The Wednesday afternoon supervision service from 12 to 17:00 is run by 15 educators and assistants.
Yes, parents who wish to use the after-school care options available at Haut-Lac must let the Club Coordinator know at least 24 hours in advance to be guaranteed a spot.
Given the high demand for after-school care, priority is given to families with working parents for certain services like our Wednesday afternoon supervision and late supervision options.
Yes, our termly and annual after-school supervision packages may offer better value for families who use the service regularly.
The admissions team and club coordinator can provide specific pricing information and help you decide which payment structure best suits your family’s needs.
Yes, we run a Breakfast Club for children who need to be dropped off between 7:15 and 8:00. This service ensures families with early work commitments can drop children off before the school day officially begins.
After-school supervision runs from 15:30 to 18:00 and is available on a termly basis.
This extended care covers the period after lessons finish (15:30 or 16:20 / 12:00 or 13:00 on Wednesday depending on the class) until early evening to give working parents flexibility with pick-up times.
No. Children who stay for after-school supervision should bring their own snack from home.
Haut-Lac provides healthy morning and afternoon snacks for infant children, but primary and secondary students should bring their own, according to the healthy snack guidelines in the Haut-Lac Parent Guidebook.
After-school care closes at 18:00 at Haut-Lac.
Parents are responsible for making the necessary arrangements to ensure their child is picked up on time. If they are going to be late, they should inform the supervision staff as soon as possible.
Late pick-up penalties will apply for any delay of 5 minutes or more, as follows:
Yes, children who stay for after-school supervision take part in engaging indoor and outdoor activities depending on the weather. These include board games, role-play games, quiet drawing and reading, group games in the sports hall, private music lessons with the Haut-Lac Music School and Haut-Lac Radio club activities.
The academic leaders are on the doors every morning and afternoon when the students arrive at and leave the Haut-Lac school campuses.
The Praz-Dagoud campus doors, where infant and primary students study, also remain locked during the school day.
On the Roches Grises campus, where the older students study, registers are taken first thing in the morning, after every class, at lunchtime and at the end of the day.
Secondary students must also sign in and out at reception whenever leaving campus during the school day for medical or other appointments. The same applies for visitors, who are given a visitor’s badge on arrival that they must return before they leave to help staff monitor the people on campus at any one time.
No, after-school supervision is only available on days when students are at school.
The only exception is Infant and Primary Parent-Teacher Meeting days, when supervisors are made available to look after kindergarten children whilst parents meet their teachers.
