Most school visits show you a polished version of the place. Ours doesn’t. From 9:00 to 11:00 on Friday 13 November 2026, you’ll walk into Haut-Lac mid-morning and find lessons already underway, teachers mid-sentence and students getting on with their day in whichever language that lesson happens to be in. Ask us anything while you’re there. That’s what the morning is for.
Learn by heart, or learn to think? It’s the question on our Open Day poster, and it shapes what you’ll see in the classrooms. Primary children alternate: French one day, English the next. By Secondary, the languages are allocated subject by subject, matched to each student’s level and where they’re heading. Some families prefer an English-only route, and that stays available throughout.
We’ve been teaching this way for more than thirty years. Universities in Switzerland and abroad recognise our IB programmes, and in both 2025 and 2026 every one of our candidates passed the IB Diploma and the Career-related Programme. Alongside the results sits everything that makes the day work: small classes, supervision from 7:15 until 18:00, more than 150 extra-curricular activities, day places and boarding places. Two hours on campus will tell you more than any brochure.
