Haut-Lac hosts NEASC accreditation visit

Haut-Lac welcomed two evaluators from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), one of the most respected accreditation bodies in American education.

Their visit represented months of careful preparation. We reviewed curricula, refined our academic programmes, and documented how our educational approach meets rigorous US standards. And now, we’ve showed them how it all works in practice.

The evaluators observed classes, met with students and staff, and examined how we deliver education across all year groups. They came to see Haut-Lac in action, not just on paper.

If accreditation is successful, we’ll be able to officially offer the US High School Diploma alongside our existing IB programmes.

For families considering American universities, this matters. The US High School Diploma is widely understood and valued by admissions offices across the United States. Combined with the IB Diploma Programme, students would graduate with qualifications that speak to both American and international academic standards.

We’re optimistic about the outcome. The dedication from our teaching staff and the quality of our academic programmes give us confidence that we’re ready for this step.

The next phase? We await NEASC’s decision. If all goes as hoped, Haut-Lac will join a select group of international schools authorised to grant this American qualification.
