Our Learning Culture:
Haut-Lac opened its doors with just 13 students and a bold vision: to introduce the benefits of a bilingual, international education to Vevey.
Today, we welcome 600+ students aged 3 to 18 from over 64 countries on our school campuses in St-Légier-La Chiésaz, and little ones as young as 18 months at our Les Marronniers Nursery in Vevey.
At heart, however, Haut-Lac remains a close-knit, family-oriented school. The founding directors’ vision of a high-quality bilingual school where children feel welcomed and appreciated is embodied in everything we do. The principles that governed the school attended by their children continue to guide our dedicated team as it nurtures confident, globally-minded young learners.
Within a culture of well-being for all, Haut-Lac empowers students to:
As an IB World School accredited by leading organisations such as CIS, AVDEP and WAoS, Haut-Lac upholds the highest standards in teaching, learning and student well-being.
We stay abreast of new advances in the world of education through strong partnerships with institutions like HEP and EPFL in Lausanne, and ensure our teachers attend regular workshops and peer coaching sessions to refine and update their skills.
Students aged 3 to 18 from over 64 countries come to Haut-Lac International Bilingual School to learn, grow and connect in a global setting.
Whether they arrive speaking only English or French, both languages or neither, they rapidly develop the bilingual communication skills required to learn, interact, collaborate and play with peers every day.
The Haut-Lac House system brings students and staff together into four Houses to create a sense of community and friendly rivalry across all ages.
