Since our first cohort in 2006, Haut-Lac graduates have obtained an overall 95% pass rate in the IBDP and 100% pass rate in the IBCP.

Our approach is straightforward: we get to know each student by exploring their interests, their strengths, and what excites them about the future.
We work with them and their parents to map out a plan that makes sense for each one. And organise university fairs on campus to show them all the options available.

Haut-Lac graduates have a current average IBDP pass rate of 95% and a top score of 45/45.
In 2025, our latest cohort achieved a 100% pass rate, with an average score of 35 (vs 30.8 world average) and 45% of students securing Advanced bilingual or bilingual diplomas in English and French.
Haut-Lac graduates have a current 100% pass rate in the IB Career-Related Programme.
Yes, the IB Diploma is fully recognised by the EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne).
The EPFL accepts the IBDP as equivalent to the Swiss Maturité for admission purposes. However, specific entry requirements vary by programme, and strong grades in relevant Higher Level subjects like mathematics and science are typically required for STEM courses.

Yes, Haut-Lac students are welcomed into the Haut-Lac Alumni network in their IB2 year (Grade 12).
They are invited to join the Haut-Lac Alumni group on LinkedIn, and to share their personal contact details with the school’s alumni liaison Debbie so they can be kept informed about future school and alumni events.
The school also calls upon alumni volunteers to speak at graduation ceremonies, present to current students and parents at Alumni Summits, and provide updates on their life and studies for the Haut-Lac Alumni magazine ECHOS.
Yes, Haut-Lac Alumni are invited to attend an annual Winter alumni reunion in Switzerland before Christmas, and a Summer football and BBQ alumni get-together at the end of the school year.
They are also very welcome to join regular school events, such as International Day and the Christmas Market, if they are around.
