At Haut-Lac International Bilingual School, we are proud of our academics. However, school life is more than class attendance and examinations. We want our students and parents to learn and grow together in a positive and nurturing setting.
Our goal is to develop and encourage a passion for life-long learning, original and innovative thinking, and a diligent work ethic in our students. We understand that Haut-Lac may be the very first academic experience for some of our younger pupils, so we strive to make it a good one. Our teachers are excited to share their passion for learning and the world with the children. Most of our current families will tell you that their sons and daughters genuinely want to go to school every day.
We know that choosing a school is an important and difficult task for you as a parent. We assure you that our attention and care goes beyond academics. From email to SMS, we work hard to stay in touch with the parents so that they never have to wonder how their child is doing.
A big part of our school community is made up of expatriate students and their families. Adjusting to life in a new country can be challenging, so we do our best to ensure our expatriate families feel at ease as soon as possible. We host a newcomers coffee morning at the start of the school year, so that new parents may meet others in their situation, create friendly connections, and build up their own social network whilst away from home.
Our connection with our families does not stop there. As educators, we want to include parents and siblings in school life. During the year, we host many family get-togethers and events for fun, socialising, and creating bonds. We organise outings, bicycle rides, treasure hunts, nature-reserve clean-ups, family barbeques, night-skiing events, and bowling competitions. We also put on several musical productions every year. In every way possible, we create an environment that makes families feel like they belong to a friendly and supportive international community.
Our region is home to many schools, so we encourage you to book your Haut-Lac visit. The only way to know if this school is the right one for your child is visit it – we look forward to meeting you.
