ABOUT THESwiss Option
As a local international school, we know that some students will eventually leave us to finish their studies in the Swiss public school system.
We therefore run our own Swiss Option in parallel to the IB Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) so that students can benefit from our bilingual programme and the holistic nature of the IBMYP before they sit the admission exams to follow the RAC1&2 diploma programme in a Swiss gymnase.
WHO IS IT FOR
- Student aged 11-14 who wish to decide later whether to pursue an IB Diploma or Career-Related programme at Haut-Lac or a Swiss upper secondary public school diploma in the canton of Vaud.
WHAT IS IT
- Preparation to sit the entrance exams for a public school in the canton of Vaud at the end of MYP4
- Added exam preparation in German, Maths and French literature for native or near-native French speakers
- A well-balanced bilingual IBMYP programme with additional German, Maths and French lessons. These extra lessons may take place on Wednesday afternoons and/or replace optional dance and music lessons or a second sport or art lesson.
