A Day At Haut-Lac
AboutA Typical Day At Haut-Lac International Bilingual School
No day is ever the same when pursuing knowledge and discovering the world, but we do have a basic schedule. We deliver our programmes from 8:00 to 15:30 (or 16:20 for Upper Secondary) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 8:00 to 12:00 on Wednesday (or 13:05 in Lower Secondary and 13:45 in Upper Secondary). Students may also join our morning and afternoon supervision sessions and/or after-school clubs to have fun with their peers, learn new skills, do their homework or simply to give families with two working parents more flexibility.
Students may be dropped off at Breakfast Club from 7:15 every day without prior registration, and enrolments are taken at the start of every term for after-school supervision and clubs.

AboutA Day In Infants
Upon arrival at school, our Infant students head straight to the playground to enjoy some free time with their peers until lessons start at 8:20. Given their young age and active minds, lessons are kept short and interspersed with regular breaks to help the students stay focused. Lighter, more relaxed activities are also left to the afternoon when the children are feeling a little less energetic.
The children in our bilingual stream study in English and French on alternate days, and those in our English stream study only in English but have one French lesson a day.

ABOUTA Day in Primary
Similarly to their Infant peers, our Primary students are welcomed in the playground by their teachers between 8:00 and 8:18 every morning. They usually start with a language lesson before moving onto maths or science and finally more relaxed theme-based lessons or computer science at the end of the day.
The students in our bilingual stream study in English and French on alternate days, and those in our English stream study only in English but have one French lesson a day.

AboutA Day In Secondary
Upon arrival at school, our Secondary students collect what they need from their lockers before attending homeroom from 8:10 to 8:20. Lower Secondary students then generally move from class to class as a year group, whilst Upper Secondary students follow their own personal timetable based on their IB DP options until 15:30 or 16:40. Depending on whether they are in the bilingual or English only stream, students will attend their subjects in French and/or English.
